The Bells

The brass plaque on the belfry door states:- 'The All Hallows Peal of Bells - The peal of eight bells hanging in this tower were moved here from the Leicester city church of All Saints upon its redundancy. They were rehallowed by the Archdeacon of Loughborough on March 23rd 1985. The peal combined with the three original bells still hanging in the tower contains the work of local bellfounders from medieval times to the present day. Many of these founders spent the whole of their lives in the parish of All Saints Leicester and were baptised, married and buried under the sound of these bells'.
